Honorable Recognition
The Northeast-10 Conference congratulate three women American International's Andrea Serra-Rosa and Naomi Eckert- Rivera as well as New Havens Jessica Akiona who are also known as the Trio of the NE10 Volleyball Players are honored and named All-American's by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The three Women have earned their recognition after their impressive hard working skills on the court helped lead their teams to the NCCA East Regionals and the NE10 Volleyball Championship! they made the 73 players selection by the AVCA as Honorable All-American.
Andrea Serra-Rosa a graduate student who was named NE10's and AVCA East Regional Player of the year managed to get honored All-American for the second time throughout her Volleyball Career and used her talents on the court to help lead her fellow Yellow Jackets to leagues for the first time in 25 years! Andrea also managed to record an all time 453 kills throughout her season.
Naomi Eckert- Rivera was Named NE10's Setter of the year and placed in the top 15 of all Division ll players got her titles due to her excellent performance on the court as a setter as she managed to a average a league best of 11.04 assist per set. she strived and helped lead her team to the NCAA East Regional Championships.
Jessica Akiona a 24 award winning member of the Volleyball All-Championship Team! became the chargers first player to ever receive a national recognition under Coach Christa Coopers second year coaching. Akiona managed to average 406 kills ranking her second and averaging a 3.20 kills per set ranking her fourth.
Congrats to the girls ! So proud that our team is DOMINATING !
